Im just wondering if you can do something with daimonds, rubys, sapphires etc. or do you just sell them or keep them just for fun or are they just one of those things that exists in the game but dosent contribute with anything?

I know this is a simple question maby eaven dumb, but im really curious about it maby there is something ive missed with them all theese years ive just gone around selling them.

'Fraid they're only ornamental in the regular game. A lot of people like throwing them into a basket or bowl for display.

Money or display. My thief keeps a nice little collection, not sure why.

Well, I rarely see whole topics getting deleted, but if you want, ask a moderator and they can lock the topic for you. It's been done before.

Hhmm.... I wonder....can you damage an NPC with said jewel?

I mean, if you can damage them with other things by picking them up and dragging them around, letting them go again, why not normal things as well?

Someone needs to test this with the Adoring Fan, and a really high location.

Drop a Ruby on his head from high up, see if he takes damage.

I'm curious, but don't have the means or ability to do so right now, so could someone either check it out in the construction set or test it please?

Erm, no, I can't even think of any objects that can do that besides traps. And I know for a fact that jewels can't.

No clutter items or weapons just being dragged around to hit someone gives them any damage. Without mods.

Well, not everything has to have a perpose other than for decoration. Also, you can enchant the rings and amulets so they can lead you some actual stats. ^_^
