labrythithan, how?

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 12:14 pm

Got in there and grabbed all the staff's. Went throught the first entrance and then fell down the door and found my way back to the surface only to enter the back door. Now I am at the restoration plaque and none of my restoration spells work to open the trap door below my feet. What the hell? What have I screwed up on? Ideas? Plus I think my precious Lydia might be lost. I guess I should have told her to wait. Bummer.

I think it needs a Turn Undead effect on the Restoration sigil. Did you try Turn Undead? Or casting the Staff of Repulsion on the sigil? That should work. If not...I don't know. Sounds like a bug if that doesn't work.

I thought I did but maybe I will try it again. I am wondering if the tattered note that says something about only enter twice and leave once is a riddle that I am not following. I tried some restoration spells on the sigil and a big ball of flame shot out towards me like I was being punished. I may just have to go back to my last save and start fresh.

Thanks for the reply Cosmar.

Any other ideas or directions?

Labyrinthian? I remember no such thing as that.

What I do remember though is
Spoiler

Fighting a skeletal dragon with no magic resistance (1.2, fixed it with SRSE) and no shouts is a pain.
Also, same for Morokei.
And there was this wind that drained my Magicka. :swear:

Umm when you first enter labyrinthian maze, 4 staffs will rise up from the floor, 1 for each sigil. Use the staff of repulsion on the restoration sigil. Since the staffs are suppose to come out from tiny holes on the floor, try a reload if 1 or 2 got stuck

No?
I entered through a gate with several ghosts outside. I went in and found lots of bones and some ghosts talking to each other.
Then I wen't onwards into the ruin.

And it was more like a big city that a maze.

True, it is like a big city with multiple ruins but there is one section that is a maze. I am assuming you have to complete this section before moving on to the larger ruin at the top of the complex. This is just a guess of course but I just can't help but know what's in that maze.

Yep, assuming the front entrance is where you grab the staves and the back entrance is near the Word Wall. Just tryin the Staff of Repulsion on the Restoration Sigil, that worked for me.

Well, tried it again and there must be a glitch or something because my restoration spells or staff isn't activating the last sigil stone that drops me to the bottom. I just left for other pursuits as it doesn't seem all that neccessary to complete. Oh well.

You need to cast "heal other" or some other directed spell from the restoration school at the plaque or use the correct staff. You are using the correct staff right?

Yep, tried all that. Not sure why it isn't triggering the trap door. I'm annoyed.

Labyrinthian isn't a dungeon, it is an area like an old city, inside of which there are I think 3 dungeons, you're talking about the College of Winterhold related dungeon and OP is talking about Shalidors Maze
