Dark Brotherhood Problem - Help please

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 7:02 pm

********* Most Minor of Spoilers***********
I designed my character around the Thieve's Guild and Dark Brotherhood. I kill anyone I please.
This is where my problem began.
Before I knew that the Orphanage was how you get into the Brotherhood, I randomly went in there and just didn't appreciate the way NAME the Kind was acting (the head of the orphanage) so I slit her throat.
My problem is that it wasn't for the quest which gets you noticed by the Brotherhood, I just did it on my own.
Will I still be contacted by the Brotherhood? Is there another way to get in? I would be devastated if I can't get in now.
Thanks everyone

Easiest way to find out is to try for yourself. This seems like the kind of scenario they would have accounted for if they didn't make her essential.

But you would still need to contact Aventis, probably.

Spoilers...

I am having a similar problem; I've joined and doing side quests for all of the Guilds. Whenever I'm on certain quests to take out people it sometimes conflicts in the town in which I need to turn in a quest. Only solution I've found was to either rush to the person to turn in quest or to Kill all of the warriors then turning in quest. I'm unable to pay off Bounty or go to tail due to the tie ins.

Seems right; but should be another outcome to the dark brother hood quest. Maybe a different occurrence of the path in which they take? Usually if you kill someone and something happens in the back end; they arnt dead forever and usually wake up again after a few moments.

I feel your pain
Do you, or anyone, know if there is a way through the Thieve's Guild (like in Oblivion and Morrowwind) to clear a bounty without paying it to guards or losing stolen items?
I have a bounty in Farkreath and they approach me upon me entering the town

you have to kill every witness and your bounty will disappear. New soldiers will appear and shouldn't give you a problem when you reenter the town.

What is it about Spoilers that you don't understand? No Spoilers to be posted in General. Now you have created a thread that is all full of spoilers in the replies.

NO SPOILERS IN GENERAL. PERIOD.

Moving this now.

Relax
You know ANYTHING about the game is a spoiler to someone that hasn't played... town names, classes, perks, weapon types, factions and guilds, anything really.
Generally Discussing a game is impossible without some sort of spoiler
Say something you like about Skyrim and have it NOT be a spoiler to someone that has never played the game and I'll admit you have bested me
And on top of that, there is one stickied thread about not posting Spoilers in the General Discussion board. Very easy to miss and pass by. Truthfully, mostly everyone on a forum passes over all the stickied threads.
But besides you SAVING all the people on these forums from seeing the ULTIMATE SPOILER of the prerequisite quest to get into a Side Questline, who would even click my thread without already playing the game?
And on top of that, keep acting like everyone that posts on here isn't at least 60+ hours deep into the game.
My main point is for you to relax, o king of the nerds, and try not to be so upset over something so minor on your precious forum boards.
I think you need to wipe your ass better so you won't be so uncomfortable sitting on your thrown made of the internet's ambiguity and dookie. I can guarantee you'd never speak to anyone's face the way you did to me.

The mod is right though.

The amount of spoiler posts that are posted in General Discussion is somewhat ridiculous seeing as how there is a whole forum section dedicated to spoilers directly below the general forums.

I mean really, how hard is it to take one second and click on the right forum?

And uh yeah, this is not a spoiler. This is clearly mentioned in the Skyrim manual. I guess if certain people were to actually READ stuff before commneting, then they wouldn't say stupid things now would they???? But then again some people have a "god" complex and are beyond help.... And remember kids, today's letter on Seseme street is the letter "L" for LOSER

I was commenting on the lack of basic knowledge. People like the flap their gib just to either A) hear themselves or B) are full of hot air - that's usually the case.
