You might be better served asking in the PC thread for more opinions.

I'm playing on a ~$600 HP I got at Staples...runs the game on Medium reasonably well, but I've been playing on low more lately just so I can play longer per sitting. (2 hours on Medium made my comp really start to grind...)

Luckily, Skyrim on low still looks better than most games.

One tip I have is to check on http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/intro.aspx too.

Maybe I'm too old-school... but gaming with engines like the one used in Skyrim on a laptop sure sounds some alarm clocks.
I would settle for a "cheaper" Desktop PC with a better graphical card, for maybe a few moneys more. Buying a new desktop Gaming PC is like an investment, as long as you have room for upgrading. One machine can maybe run the games that are out now, but what about a month or two, three when a new one comes out - and you lack specs? svcks man.. been there, done that.

The recommended is a dual core 2.0 Ghz (taken from the back of my game case) so yes it would run it.

Although you need a decent video card and enough ram etc.

You would not be happy with a laptop, not at that price.

6GB ram
Core i5
7200 RPM HD
GTX 560 or 580.

You can handle pretty much anything that is out now, i would wait for January to see if they announce new cards.

Then you'll have to spend a lot of money to be able to run this game smoothly, on a good resolution :(
For that price you have a super mini-tower with all the things needed, and flexible for upgrading - for at least half the price...

In Denmark at least.... gaming machines don't cost much.

And that, I can see, does not cost a fortune :) ... (no disrespect at all.. it's a good machine for the purpose!)

You can get a system with the stuff I posted for 750 us dollars so I'd assume you could get it for 600 euros.

Umm is 500W power supply really enough for that rig? Atleast you can never upgrade your computer with a better stuff if u get that one and it would propably go to its limits. I have a 650W power supply on my machine ATI 5870, Intel i7-860, 8gb ddr3 and 600 or 650 is the minimum requirement for those.

And if you don't have room for it... well, first of all; hang the screen to a wall - saves a LOT of space. Secondly; do NOT put the PC in a locker, even though you have water cooling. I failed massively there - because I had a [censored]y girlfriend ;) ... you guessed it, my motherboard got fried due to too little circulation.

Fail..... glad she's gone though ^_^

Yes 500 watt is enough. Sandy bridge uses less power than lynnfield. I was saving money. Of course I would get a corsair 800tx if you got the money

Just remember that every harddisk also uses a lot of power - especially the GFX cards.. they swallow most (surprisingly much actually).
I assembelled a Gaming PC with SLI GFX cards with both 1 GB of RAM.. they almost took 350W each. So I put in a 1000W PSU in the cabinet just to be sure. Just so, well, I could put in a microwave menu in the cabinet and still enjoy a warm dish.. ;)

People seem to exaggerate PSU requirements. Don't get me wrong, overkill with a psu never hurts.
But, An I7, one HDD one optical drive and let's say 2 GTX 580s in SLI only needs an 850w PSU. A GOOD 850w PSU.

I only need minecraft, team fortress 2,elder scrolls with mods and enough ram to use programming facilities and emulators.

I also have pretty much no money and quite possibly wouldnt bother upgrading the computer unless elder scrolls 6 needed it to run
