Does anyone else think that this game has so many hours and too few songs on the radio?

Yeah, after a while I get bored of the songs and wish there was more variety.
I mainly listen just to hear Mr. New Vegas' commentary of my exploits.

I wish they would've gave him new commentary with DLCs added, correct me if I'm wrong, but I've never heard him say anything related

Yeah the play list is pretty short especially for the amount of time you can put into the game especially if you figure an average of lets say 30 hours for one playthrough thats a lot of johnny guitar and big iron, but its a small complaint and licensed music can get insanely expensive. I've resorted to listening to my mp3 player while playing since Sony can't make use of the systems audio player mandatory so no one but first party games uses it. Still like the music just wish there was more of it.

This has been a complaint since week one, I think.

It would be great if they'd re-license the tracklist from Fallout3 and integrate it with the existing playlist. I don't know how many songs are actually on there (haven't bothered to count or look) but it FEELS like there's only 8. The DJ scripts are also very light. I mean, I don't know how you have a brilliant idea like hiring Wayne Newton, actually get him to do the job, and then only get him to do like two pages of lines.

A soundtrack expansion is absolutely something they should consider. Look at how many game soundtracks are sold as it is, ya know? $4.99 to integrate Fallout3 tracks (or whatever!) to the existing tracklist would be a great thing.

Nevermind it's silly that suddenly the songs that were played in the Capital Wasteland have no airtime in the Mojave.

I'd even like Agatha's station, ya know? After I was getting about tired of not wanting to set the world on fire, I dropped a few levels' of game time just listening to Agatha's violin stuff.

I thought Three Dog said he found records at the GNR studio, and that explains why he plays the same dozen songs over again.
Maybe the same thing can be said about the New Vegas stations. Only a dozen songs survived 200 years after the war.

As for the original topic, I guess if you play the game long enough, it's going to seem like you're constantly hearing the same song over and over.

I still want to vomit every time I hear "Johnny Guitar," but at least that's only one song.
After putting 200 hours into FO3, I now hate every song in that game. Of course, after 200 hours, I'm starting to dislike everything about that game.

And "Big Iron" is awesome.

Damn, good idea. I would love to see FO3 tracks feature on NV. It's a shame there isn't a way to add our own songs to the radio from a USB or something

As much as I liked Three Dog, When I was doing my good karma playthrough the dude sounded like he was [censored] himself during the entire broadcast. Anyway I stopped listening to the radio and just put on my own music in the game.

I always figured not much music survived the bombs, but I think that would mean that whatever did survive was shared (or re-recorded from airplay) pretty quickly.

Three Dog, at the very least, doesn't strike me as the guy that isn't going to share. Music is one of the better artifacts of the good in humanity. For that reason, I think the Fallout music catalog should only get bigger, and I would welcome the day that we actually find old music recordings while scav'ing ruins and vaults only to share (or trade) them to interested parties. THAT would be something to collect, even as cool as the bobbleheads were.
