Bethesda releasing a game that doesn't work properly on the PS3 is not Sony's fault. I'm not even a PS3 player and I'm aware of the fact that the PS3 has been out well before Skyrim started coding for it. There are plenty of games that work just fine on the PS3. As a platform, it may have stupid design decisions, but it still works. It's up to the developer to develop a game that can adequately use the platform that they are releasing for.
Plenty of people have written games that work just fine on the PS3, which is proof that it can be done. Bethesda's failure to do that is Bethesda's failure.

I would think it would be a mix of both. I can game Bethesda for not properly playtesting and 80+ hour save game to check for issues but at the same time, Sony needs to authorize them to make it. WHy didnt Sony check up to make sure the game ran on their system. Bethesda doesnt manufacture the consoles, SOny does and Sony should know the hardware specifications. I would say this is an oversight on both companies.
