Skill points reset

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 12:30 pm

So I'm one of the few console users to grind all stats to level 100 but a few of my skill points I must admit I didn't think through.

Any one besides me think Bethesda should consider letting us switch skill points or is there some reason we can't do this already?
I really want to experience all the game has to offer without switching different characters all the time.

I really hope they don't add this.

It's called "New Game"

Let's you create a new character with an entirely new set of skills to upgrade or neglect. This game is not really designed for one character to experience everything. It is possible, it is just not designed that way. You would have more fun playing a Thief if all they have to work with are Thief skills.

I disagree with this. Your decisions should have weight, despite this game being very unweighty with save and reloading. Just stick with what ya got, or make a new character.

I personally would like this, but it should come at a hefty toll. Like a lengthy questline that at the end allows you to reset your Skill points, but only once.

There are gamers who want to enjoy a hassle free game. There are also funny people with a delicate state of mind who may have imaginary friends and can make new characters constantly without a second thought.

The people who say that it should be only once are not very bright, 20,000 coins each time in game sounds about right. 100,000 to restart alter your appearance while were at it.

The people mentioning attributes are even dumber, the only thing that annoys me is the perk limitation points which is brand new. To put it simple, if I get a skill to say level 100 I should be able to use said skill.

Being able to reset your skill tree would kill the replayability between the different races/factions for me.

I remember when they announced attributes were gone, and the fanbase wailed, THIS WILL REMOVE ALL CONSEQUENCE FROM CHARACTER CHOICES.

Now people look at their choices and say, PLEASE REMOVE ALL CONSEQUENCE FROM CHARACTER CHOICES.

This fanbase is far more broken than the game itself could ever be.

...or instead of farming the money, just make a new character.

Yes. It's not a MMO, you're not forced to use it but I still want it.

I think Bethesda should make a way for every 10 dragon souls you get you can turn in the 10 for 1 skill point..

No. All actions should have consequences and one should really think hard before making a choice.

I wouldn't mind one of the DLC having a quest line that allows you to respec your points ONCE EVER.

I suspect one of the DLC will have us going back in time using the Elder Scroll to visit the Dwemer. Perhaps once we've unlocked a fraction of the power of the Elder Scroll, we can use it to alter our own past. I don't think you should alter skill points, but altering perks would be perfectly fine to me since they make a big impact on your playstyle but some of them are vague and you can't know how they'll effect you until you've actually used them.
