I find this particularly annoying

I find it annoying when I am fighting multiple enemies and I will be hacking away at a target and it shows the healthbar for the OTHER target that is furthest away from me. Really? Let me see the health of my current target! It also happens when atronachs are summoned, you can no longer see the health of the mage but rather you are forced to see the summon's health. Who attacks summons before the summoner? That is like ignoring the healer and going straight for the tank.

I'm sure a lot of people do. They may not have figured out that it's not the best strategy yet and they tend to deal with the more immediate or closest threat first. They may figure it out quickly or not at all.

I do agree that the health bar displayed should follow your current target.

Hard to tell, and the functional difference between the terms is negligible. Either way, it's something that can and should be fixed.

thank you guys. I am glad that I am not the only one who feels this way about it. Not to mention I have never seen this subject brought up on the boards. Mostly just backwards flying dragons and arrow to knee jokes. :)

I just flail away until everyone around me is dead.

However, the reason it works the way that it does (I think) is it is the enemy that is at your 12:00 position, not how far away they are. It might be harder to implement based on distance from the PC as that is so dynamic in a battle.

Maybe if they made it so that the enemy your crosshair is on is your "target"
