Resume Game Crash - Help!

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 10:33 am

Hello, I've recently picked up Crysis 2 for the PC, but every time I try to load my game from the main menu, it crashes. The same goes for when I die and try to "respawn". What do I do?

Thanks.

Most likely timing issues; many have solved a similar problem. Posting specs will help folks to help you more specifically....

Things to try
* Up the voltage to your GPU, test.
* Downclock your CPU, even if it runs everything else just fine. Test.

Alright, here are my specs:

OS: Windows 7, Service Pack 1
Processor: Intel Core i7-2620M CPU @2.70GHz 2.70GHz
RAM: 4 GB
System Type: 64-bit
Graphics Card: Intel HD Graphics Family

I don't know what the deal with the graphics card is... it's what was factory installed. However, it seems to be good.

I think there's your problem, Intel Integrated Graphics chips can't run games... well maybe it can but really slowly

That's not the problem... It works fine when I play it. Hell, it plays Crysis 2 better than Black Ops.

So any other suggestions?

So does it work if you choose "select level"?

Remove all content from the game, including save games, and then install again... (worked for me)

@Madness: Yes, it only crashes when I try to resume my last save.

@TS: Really? By removing all content, do you mean uninstalling?
