Has anyone else had a problem with bounties not properly disappearing even when the game says "X gold bounty removed. All witnesses dead." or something similar?

I just killed an imperial soldier and a noble who talked down to me outside Falkreath, and it told me the bounties were removed. However, when I got to Falkreath, the guards immediately attacked me.

I'm assuming this is a bug, but maybe I'm wrong.

Maybe the wild life seen you kill those guys, it's a little glitch in the game.

I thought that too, but the game clearly says all the witnesses are dead, and the bounty is removed. If the animals were witnesses, wouldn't the game not say that?

my question is how the hell they found out i ninja kill a sleeping person then 1000 guards storm the house???

It is kinda strange. I killed those guys too, but only after I killed the noble's horse as well did it say that I'd now killed all the witnesses.

It still says I have a bounty when i check my stats, but none of the guards seem to care. So I'm not too sure what the go is.
