Becoming Emporer

Post » Sat Oct 24, 2009 1:52 pm

From playing it seems there should be a way to become emperor after Martin dies. I have tried everything I could think of but to no avail. does anyone know how or even if it is possible to become emperor?

Nope.

This should probably be on the Cheats, Hints and Spoilers side, but as far as I know of there is no way to

become Emporer after the death of Uriel and his heirs. :) Cyrodiil just lags along with Chancellor Ocato at the lead for the rest of your game.

Although!
There is most likely a mod out there that you can get with a little searching... if you are on pc.

That little weasel never fooled me for a second. He was the evil mastermind behind the whole operation.

In-game, it makes sense. Why would they make you an emperor? You've done nothing to deserve that title. Yeah, you saved Cyrodill, but that's not gonna make you emperor. You have to be BORN in the Royal Family and be the lucky one in the row of succession to become ruler (ie, you're the heir apparent and don't have to wait for the king and those in front to die at the same time).

I'm not sure if there's any mods that will let you be Emperor...at least none that I've come across. Servant of the Dawn will let you become High Chancellor if you play your cards right (and are willing to take the evil path, since it's a post-MQ Mythic Dawn faction mod). Which is basically as good as being the Emperor, considering how things stand at the end of the MQ. ;)

@HeroofKvatch: Orrr you could round up an army, stage an overthrow of a crumbling empire, declare yourself the new Emperor and off anyone who disagrees with you about it.

What could you do, as Emperor, that you can't do now? :)

You had it stolen already? Things are obviously getting worse under your incompetent administration. Abdicate now!

There have been numerous Emperors in TES lore that have earned or fought their way to the title rather than been born to it. Cuhlecain and General Talos (Tiber Septim) are only two examples of quite a few in TES history. Certainly, the end of the Septim line would be a classic oportunity for a new Emperor to rise by the sword.

Which is exactly what Titus Mede ends up doing.
