Get out of here if you're just going to be an elitist "hardcoe TES fan". If you want to look at spreadsheets and roll dice, go play D&D. I'll just sit down and enjoy an ACTUAL GAME.

If skyrim end up game of the years, its a sad day for gaming. Clearly Bethesda have chose to move for casual players. I feel like someone has gave me Big mac when i ask for sushi.
But sadly this is how video games industry seems to have turn. Place a lot of efforts on the outside (graphics) but less on the inside (gameplay, quest line, etc) My character is lvl 60, so no one here will say that im low lvl who done nothing. I have cleared all the guild quest, except thiefs, done some random explorations, completed all the Misc of everytown but one and went to 60% of the main quest. i spent more then 80hrs, just in case and gives Skyrim a real chance. But nothing, This game doesnt give me any pulse or fun. Neither in the quest, mission that are boring and repititive, neither in random exploration because dungeon and cave are: 1- too linear 2- too small 3- i dont really find anything that make me feel like i found something unique.

So if you guys at Bethesda have really chose to go in casual direction, it is over. After a week a guy on this forum mention that even if Skyrim is not the best, i will buy the next TES and i sadly sayd : yes i will because i like TES. Well i have change my mind. I wont, just like i did for other good series that went to awsome to casual.

To make it clear. Skyrim svck because:
- THE GAME IS EASY

-Repetitive quest line, dungeon

-The Lvl system who give the chance to get 100% for everyskill, kills the idea to try different type of character because i can max everything. the character i choose wont change anything.

-In the same idea. takin out the astrological signs and give the players the chance to switch any time he want with the Magical Stone make no difference in the character creation and uniqueness of my characters + make the games easier. I dont need to think what type of players i want to create cause i can change at ANYTIME!

-the illusion of choice. (Companion- werewolf and more stupid choice like that)

-i used to enjoy decoration in my house with artifact and item, even the town has decoration and they broke the system.........

-plenty of things that we dont care (horse, wood chopping, killing wolf inside that dude house 6 times)

-having 4 different quest in the same cave or dungeon...................

So if you guys are impressed by Skyrim, i feel sorry for you and no matter what crap pepeol will give you, it doesnt matter because you enjoy fast food games.

From a fans of TES ( Daggerfalls, Morrowind, Oblivion)

*Yawn* How could you enjoy Oblivion and not Skyrim? Oblivion is the Elder Scrolls I enjoyed least, hands down (Daggerfall for the win). Skyrim, despite it's flaws, was a huge step in the right direction for TES. Now, if you're done sinking 80 hours of your life into something you don't enjoy I suggest you go and find something better to occupy your time with. Like Dragon Age 2 :whistling:

I agree with a lot of what you say, except for the part about skills. I want all my skills to be at 100%- you could do this in all the other games, but in this one you can't because of the perk system.

I hope your joking. Please go play BF2, then tell me BF3 hasn't been "dumbed down". I love BF3, but they changed the whole design of the series. Small maps, choke point maps, less teamwork, etc...

the problem with games is once you like one they usualy change what you liked in the seqels, perfect example i was a hard core Gears 1 fan loved everything about it except host advantage and some of the glitches. Then they made gears 2 Which i hated and literly through in the garbage. Then i had high hopes for gears 3 but it was better than gears 2 and graphicly better than gears 1 and 2 but i still think it pales in comparison to Gears 1. Nobody is going to be 100% satisfied with sequels thats just the way its going to be. I would have liked Skyrim better if i didnt play Dark Soul, and to tell you the truth if Dark Souls online element wasnt so broken i would have picked it for game of the year. Dont get me wrong i loved Skyrim but after the Dragons which are all the same which was a let down after the 100th time you fight them i was wishing man if they had the Dragons from Dark Souls this game would have been so much better not to mention the cool bosses fom Dark Souls. like i said i loved Skyrim but i dont understand as a game maker these days why you dont put bosses in your games? most people love the worlds you create but why only same Dragons over and over and then dragon preists and thats it? When i went on the quest for maroons dager i wanted that statue to come alive and be able too fight it ir at least be one of the options? How much better would the game have been if you pick the black star and Azura came after you? Well like i said great game but the only wow factor for me was the actual worl.

Oh no, they made the game more convenient for people!

FUUUUUUUUUU!

So by OP's logic, Bethesda should stop upgrading and do what Call of Duty does.

So by OP's logic we should all just be running Windows xp on computers from the year 2005.

By OP's logic we should have standard definition TVs.

How dare they make controls and such a bit easier for us gamers! Take them to the block! No dragon will save them!

First off this is a start of a new gaming era. And someone has to take a step forward and that is Bethesda. Sure things are not perfect right now
but it's a good start. After all they did build the most popular RPG series in the world and i don't see them stopping.

If you stop and think about what these guy's have to do to all work together and build these unbelivable role playing games that can be changed
later for fixes and modding it is truly inspiring. And one day we will all be playing them on a 60" widescreen gamatron TV thinking back to when
we played Oblivion back in the year 2006 and saying man im glad these guy's never stopped making these games.

So i don't think we need to down grade them just because there are a few bug's at the very beginning of the games release.

I belive we should all give Bethesda are idea's and help and thank them for a great job they have done giving us another world to climb into
and escape . If you want to complain about somthing call or write your local Senators.
