Light armour? You look like a tank!

This, although my Nord warrior needs his heavy armor. He'll be sticking with Steel Plate, though, which I think is the best and most natural looking armor in the game.

Agreed, the plate armour looks the most realistic out of all the armours. I've never like the Daedra armour in any of the Elder Scrolls games.

I don't really like hide or studded and scale.

I don't like how none of the guys end up wearing a full on cuirass instead it's like a belt across his chest and he thinks he looks manly that way.

And granted my character is kind of lean and scrawny muscular it just looks tacky to see this pathetically skinny guy wearing armor that shows his bare chest. I realize not all the variants are this way, I just don't really like the hide armor at all. And as stated when a scrawny guy is wearing plated armor, it looks kind of tacky.

And even the fur armor in Skyrim has issues because it looks like someone glued on the shoulders fur. Instead of actually have an interesting sort of fur armor, it looks like something made with fabric glue.

Have you seen scaled and studded armor? They both cover the chest, studded with regular leather and scaled with scaled leather disks..one of the strongest ways to make light armor in history. Also, fur being large? first of all..fur is thick!, second it needs to be thick to protect (as is its not metal) and third: its Skyrim. Its cold and nordic climate and thick fur keeps you warm. Now you can make fur armor interesting as u said, or u can make it authentic and practical which I like better especially when RPing.

I like the elven weapons, especially how they are shaped like eagles.

I don't particularly like any of the light armours except from Dragonscale, and Nightingale.

I wanted a simple set of chainmail as light armour, similar to the Ebony mail. It makes a lot more sense to be wearing chainmail as light armour than a full set of poncy metal. I also dislike Daedric armour for its simply ridiculous appearance - Deadric armour is to practicality as chocolate is to teapots.

I'm a light armor user. And I'm not content with any of the armors availible. I like the feel of leather and "natural" fabric, coming from the idea that my character is a hunter. He wears the hides that he hunts down. Glass, Elven and the advanced armors all look heavy. So, even though my character were supposed to be all good, he has joined thieves guild to get some proper looking armor. I love that outfit. He's not so good anymore.. he he

You only look like a tank. I got rocked by 3 falmers while wearing light armor inspite of having a shield and a follower. Light armor hurts in melee.

Upgrade it and you won't be having that issue. You can hit the armor cap with light or heavy easily.

The Nord warrior I just finished with used Light Armor. I kept her in Leather Armor nearly the whole time just because I liked the way it looked and upgraded it wasn't that bad. Then I switched to Scaled Armor and kept it until I finished all the quests I wanted to with her (MQ, Companions, Civil War).

Often I put my companion (usually Lydia) in Heavy Armor and I must say it really did look bad.

On a side note both Dragonscale and Dragonbone armor look terrible IMO.

I think Dragonbone looks great on a Nord or Orc (and probably Argonian), but would look silly on an Imperial, a Breton, or any kind of Elf.

Daedric Armor seems rediculous, to be honest. Oooo, look at me all dremoa/demonic like.

Give me a break. Dremora were from another plane of existence and the armor looks VERY foreign to the game. Just doesnt look right for someone in the game to be walking around in their armor.

Seems a move for the kiddies, to be honest. Oh well. I prefer Steel Plate. Most effective and realistic feel that Ive seen in this game. Except that damn helmet. Wow. I HATE plate steel helmet.

I do not wear one.

Daedric armor is Ebony Armor corrupted by the soul of a Daedra. For that reason, it does make sense to exist in Tamriel, though as something extremely rare.

Dwarven armor being so weak is funny to me. They were the most advanced race and have weak armor? That makes sense??

I missed this before. They were the most advanced race thousands of years ago. They still have strange, obscure technology to this day, but that's because most people are afraid to persue their research too deeply, lest they repeat the Dwemer's Folly.

I'm not a "kiddie" and Daedric is my favorite. It's "kiddie" in your opinion.

Right. Going for the demonic appearance and for the spikes and claws and black/red design outfit hasnt been done to death since the beginning of the video gaming era. Would "cliche" be the right word?

Guess I just prefer the practical armor that seems be something that would genuinely be used. Every single set of armor in the game is more viable than "daedric" armor. Hell, even fashioning armor out of bones would better fit than demon armor, hence dragonplate and dragonscale.

The fear that would be invoked in your opposition when you came at them in that armor would be immense. It is the same sort of idea why people wore warpaint. In hand to hand combat, if your opponent is scared, it is going to impact his ability to fight you.

Not to mention the armor is made out of some other worldly alloy that apparently is insanely durable. Considering how resilient wearing full steel plate is in real life, I'd have a hard time believing you could actually be killed in Daedric armor unless you were crushed by something or you killed magically.

Yes, its incredibly durable. It just doesnt seem to fit that much in the game world. Not to me anyways. Guess I just dont like the god-complex situation. I prefer to be a masterful, skillful warrior that relies on my abilities, not so much my gear.

Aside from that, aesthetically, I just dont like it. Ironically, I thought the helm, when colored properly, might actually have been a viable design for the dragon armor.
