Dr. Hannibal Lecter

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 1:39 am

Ok so i've decided one of my pet projects is going to be a charactewr based on Dr. Hannibal "The Cannibal" Lecter. I figured this would be an interesting role play to do and came here looking for some advice or tips. I see this character as being a medium to high crit build for the reason that when you do see the good doctor take violent action he usually dispatches the foe in one smooth precise movement. Here is what I have so far...

S: 5
P: 7
E: 5
C: 6
I: 7
A: 4
L: 5

Tags:
1: Melee
2: Medicine
3: Speech
4: (Science if I chose the tag perk)

Traits:
Either
1: Built to Destroy and Heavy Handed
2: none at all

Perks
Cannibal (obviously)
Ghastly Scavenger
Living Anatomy
Finesse

Weapons
Figaro

Attire
Dirty Pre-War Buisnesswear

Any and all fedback is appreciated!!

Lecter wasn't a brute when he fought, he hit where it hurt as opposed to delivering just a plain old sound beating. I'd leave out Heavy Handed. Maybe take no traits at all.

He was fast and agile... definitely not just a 4. And I would say more intelligent than a 7. I also wouldn't think he'd have a very high Charisma - Lecter comes across as quite creepy whether he's talking or not. In addition to Science, I would probably give him some skill in Sneak.

That's my $0.02

he was a lot smarter than 7. Give him good charisma and at least a 8 or 9 on intelligence.

I'd boost charisma since he is a bit of a smooth talker and has a way with words
Build up Lockpick or unarmed instead of science ? Since he breaks out of locks etc
Attire : wasteland surviour (or what ever its called) and the business wear in social places ?

Perks :
Lady killer
confirmed bachelor
purifier
travel light
toughness
fast metabolism
ghastly scavenger
life giver

weapons :
Chance's knife (knifes)
Chopper (cleavers/machetes)
dress cane
nailboard
lead pipe
figaro (straight razor)

My spelling might be bad for some things but hope this is useful :)

Give him the Wasteland Surgeon's Outfit. He was a psychiatrist, but it doesn't matter.

Maybe a ripper would be a good weapon for him. He didn't use something like it in the movies, but if he could get one, I am sure that he would use it.

Thanks all this really helps. You all made some pretty good points, The only reason why im having a 4 in agility is to represent his old age. I dont think I've seen him run (plus Agi affects guns and vats which i wont be using on this run through). and as for int i'm goign to get the implant to bring it up to 8. I say charisma at 6 because he is quite civil and does have a way with words. For traits im not going to take heavy handed thats a good point he was not a thug. I'll take Built to destroy and just keep Raul somewhere out of the way (prob back at his shack). I'll probably keep my sneak at 50.

Did not even think about taking lady killer but now that you ention it im absolutely going to take it haha  and yeah lockpick would be a better choice for a 4th tag skill than science (maybe even unarmed so I can get piercing strike.. hmmm), And kudos for mentioning the dress cane and the chopper. I thought of those the other day when the thought popped into my head but I didn't remember to include them in my original post. Guess it slipped my mind. Might alo throw in some intense training and i'd throw in educated as well (he is an MD after all haha).
