Ok just did a little search for a name for a new Nord. Came up with Sigmundr Ormr (Protection Shield, Dragon) and was happy.

Then I saw a few links to norse mythology and things like...well Nords!

The shields are WAYYYyyyyy different then in skyrim. Plus is it me or are there like...3 choices for shields?

I love my sword and board warrior, but where are the classic big round shields that vikings used?

there are giant round shields, and spiked round shields, and over 10 different types of shields to choose from (including one-of-a-kind shields). look around before posting something please, and get your facts straight

210 hours of gameplay and have only found the shield of ysgrmar or whatever his name is.

The steel shield is boring, iron shield same with same design but a little darker. The banded iron shield is great looking, but small.

The town guard shields are to small.

Ysgrmar's shield is awesome, but cant be upgraded which is stupid.

More to the point though where did bethesda do there research?

And any modders know if you could smooth out the dwarven shield, maybe put a 3d wolf head on it, make it a kite shield.
