I was thinking... Skyrim is like an A+ essay as in thesis, novelty, and contents.....with occasional grammatical errors in it... Does that make sense?? You're reading this otherwise an A+ paper, but there are some grammatical errors that throw you off. No?
Wait, wha? Are you talking about a few gramatical errors in game? Because that's nothing more than what you can expect. Its a HUGE game, with so much text, items, talk and locations that it would be impossible to make sure there's no errors.

If you want to put it like that... For me Skyrim is a B with an negative tendency.
To be honest I think it's kind of the opposite. It's like an essay that uses good grammar, is well-written, and cites a lot of information, but struggles in actually trying to make a larger point.
I pretty much agree with your simile, though I'd use a slightly different one:
Skyrim is like a great novel, where the publishers have left one or two of the pages uncut. To assert that the novel is not great because of little technical errors is trivial and ridiculous.
I'd also observe that the fact that many of the replies to this topic failed to identify an obvious simile speaks volumes about how seriously Bethesda should treat the views expressed on this forum.
