Hello folks, I'm new at FPS type of games and am trying to figure out which type of control mechanism will be best.

Here is what I have on my Desk top; all Logitech, K800 keyboard, M705 mouse, Touchpad, F710 Gamepad, all are wireless.

My dilemma is the actual manipulation of the devices in order to affect game actions. Yep some of it is self explanatory, and most of it is not.

If there is a sticky with this type of info can someone point me to it (poor search fu), and or could someone give me some pointers?

Keyboard + mouse!
If you're addicted to gamepads, you can try to combine mouse with gamepad, so instead of using asdw you could maybe assign those to your game pad (with nanosuit controls), and aiming/looking to your mouse. Some guys use xPadder to assign controls from keyboard keys to gamepad.

Whatever you come up with, just keep in mind that mouse is the key to precision and fast reaction.
