Bethesda, thank you for making an awesome game

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 7:17 pm

first off i don't want anyone to troll and complain about there game because my copy works fine.

second. i started playing another character who became a Mage Assassin. and this guy i stole from sent some hired thugs to kill me. i went into his shop to return the favor. the next time i went in i saw his wife mourning over his dead body and she wouldn't even sell me anything. i made a thread a few months back that wanted this very thing to happen ingame :)

this game is amazingly detailed and i love everything about it. thank you Bethesda for constantly making great games. and taking the time to make them work right.

The PS3 would like a word with you...

Now that I play it on the PC, I agree. Amazing game. They really dropped the ball with the PS3 version, though.

Seriously? There are plenty of whiny threads for you to take part in without infecting the few positive ones. [censored] off.

I am with you on this. I own two copies of the game one for the PC ( when I travel) and one for the PS3 ( I like to couch lounge and play long games such as these plus I was overly curious on comparing the two.) Now I have had some issues with my PS3 copy though not really anything bad such as the lag thing yet however I tend to play through up to 3 different characters to get a feel for things and experiment before deciding one the character I want to fully give my time to so by the time I reach that lag a patch will probably have fixed it. If not well I have my PC copy. Then there is the news from June on how Todd Howard said they were going to try and get a delivery method figured out for allowing console users to get mods. (since it is already possible just needs a way to deliver them without a dev kit) So if that comes to fruition it will be another interest of comparison for me later on.

Now I do admit there is a few things i dislike such as small quest arcs for guilds, smithing too easy to raise along with illusion, plus some balancing stuff. None of this has ruined my experience with the game. I tend to wait for DLC and expansions to be completely done and over with before I really start to give my fully overall impressions of a game.

that'd be great if console users could buy DLC discs for mods. as i doubt they'd be allowed on xbox live/psn.

That would be interesting. I do know that one of the quake games had a delivery system in place to allow consoles to get user created content. I know sony has expressed some interested with the idea of PS3 users having access to mods, xbox well im not sure what MS stand on this is unfortunately. I do know if such a thing comes to pass it will be different in the way PC users get theirs as i am sure mods will be going under filtering protocols for content quality and content maturity levels.

Don't listen to him, Bethesda! :cryvaultboy:

The game is buggy and has serious flaws related to gameplay mechanics!

Yeah, not many problems at all... well, there is that *tiny* issue where the game becomes totally unplayable after your save file hits 10mb. But other than that, it's super.

Discussions that wrangle with both sides of a topic tend to be the most productive. However if people want they should be able to discuss what they like about the game without people jumping in to say there are problems, just as people should be able to discuss the problems they are experiencing without someone jumping in to say that their version works fine.

I don't think this thread can be saved. However if the Unconnected One wants to start a new thread about little things that people really enjoyed, or something else along those lines, that's perfectly acceptable.
