Alvor tried to give me a lesson...

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 5:12 am

I wnt out of a city (dont remember the name now, but think thats irrelevant anyway), and there were 4 thugs waiting for me, and one of them said: "We're here to teach you a lesson!" They attacked me right away, and my assassin didnt like that, so he killed them all. After looting their bodies, I saw a contract, and it was signed Halvor.

Why did he rent the tugs to 'teach me a lesson'? Because I stole all of his steel ingots early in the game?

I went to Helgen, to ask him what the [cencored] was up with him. He said all the normal stuff, and he pretended (or was programmed) like nothing had happened. So I broke into his home and stole all of his house at night. Slitting his throut would be more fitting, but I decided to give him another chance.

Yep. It's a scripted event that takes place if you steal his ingots.

Yeah just another thing that Bethesda didnt really finish. Why send them then you go confront the person and NOTHING happens? This has happened to my paladin goodie two shoes guy three times now. And I havent wronged ONE person. Why are they attacking me? Oh the npc who sent them has no scripted text for that. Just plain dumb.

And the thing is Ive done a few main quests, but mostly traveled and tried to help and do good and such. Even that has caused me to be attacked for no reason.

Also why do the imperials completely feign ignorance when I walk by in stormcloak attire? Or stormcloaks not bat an eye when I walk into there fortress with a full set
of imperial captains armor on?!?

Blah.
