I don't really know where else to post this, so I'm just going to put it here. I've noticed over the past month or two that search results all seem to be 24 hours old. I suppose that this is because, in order to try to keep the forums performing better, they only index the forums during a daily maintenance at like midnight or 2am or something.

The problem is, that with forums as active as this forum is, it makes it much more difficult to find threads you've participated in, or recent posts about a question you have, when the search results are always a day old. I don't know what the answer is - maybe the forums could be indexed once an hour or something? Maybe gamesas needs to find a more scalable forum platform which is based on a cluster of servers instead of a single server? I dunno, but it would be really, really useful to have more recent search results.

For threads you have participated in, you can mark them if they're that important to you, using the Watch Topic button - top right corner.

As well, when you are logged in, you can select your profile name - top left corner - select My Content and reference every post you have made.

Doing the "My Content" thing only gives you old search results. Did you actually try it yourself? You get no results for today's topics (unless you happened to post in that same topic on a previous day too).. I'll try the Watch Topic, to see if that gives me today's topics. That might.

I use the search all the time.

I did a search outside of my own profile My Content listing for "blackreach" and it found all posts with that word from TODAY right to November 14. Four pages worth of search results.

Perhaps I'm confused. Do you want a search option to only LIST TODAY'S topics in the specific forum? If so, there's a LINK (View New Content) right above WATCH TOPIC. It will list all new threads for today in the specific forum you're reading.
