how do magic resist and element resist work together?

as titel says

trying to up everyhting for my nord warrior

already have 50% cold resist
25% magic resist from lord stone

now there is the 50% element resist in the block tree
and 30 % magic resist in alteration tree (does that even work for warrior)

so in case of a firebold lets say 100 damage
wil it then do 22.5 damage (55% for MR and then 50% from ER)

not sure wich is calculated first, but am pretty sure they are sequencial in the calculation, f.e. if you have 50% magic resist and 50% fire resist and take a 100 fire dmg attack, the damage you receive is 25
the reason I am not 100% sure is because it may full well be a cap to how much spell/elemental mitigation you can stack and since there is no combat log, I cant see what the actual numbers are :(
