Because for crysis 2 theyve got the best out of DX11, they could use DX11 as their base for crysis 3 as im guessing most ppl would have cards which support that(by the time the game came out), but for the push on graphics do you think a DX12 is needed or just a better engine?

Bro... If crytek are making homefront 2 and some news site or shizzers said its to be released in 2014 ( @_@ ) then does that mean they wont start development of crysis 3 till like 2015? -.-

Exactly, dx11 is gonna be here for a while, what we got now is somewhat unpolished next-gen material(xbox 720 material if you like), you know the best lookin' game right now?, Batman AC dx11 EXTREME, it tortures 2x 580s to give ya'll an idea. Still Crysis 2 ultra SP uses the most VRAM of any game i know.

my guess is that if there will ever be a crysis 3 they will start development in 2015 game release maybe 2017/2018+ and by then everyone would be using DX11 and maybe a DX12 if ever one will come out in time.

From what i know Win 8 will use dx11.1.So no question of dx12 now.

Still to have a look at that game dude, but yeah i'd gladly get it, i picked up Saints Row3 the other week it's a lot of fun and has hi res textures too but unfortunately they're disabled right now.

Do you think that thew new xbox 720 and win8 coming out next your summer ( estimated ) will be able to play with each other?

Cuz they both by microsoft and i sent an email to em as a suggestion that in the future pc and xbox players play together and they said other people and companies have suggested this to, but they would pass on my request just like any other...
