cannot start thieves guild quest?

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 2:58 am

I just turned in the quest "loud and clear" to Brynjolf, he told me to speak to Maven blackbriar however no new quest was added to my log and when I speak to her nothing happens, so I cannot do the quest. help

Have you tried talking to Delvin and Vex down in the Ragged Flagon? Try talking to everybody there and then see if anything updates. The next quest in line is one called Dampened Spirits.

Hmm, I'm trying to figure out what you can do. After Brynjolf pays you for the quest loud and clear, you can go talk to everyone to "meet the family" and then speak to Maven. I found her in the Bee and Barb. I think she tells you to go speak to a man in Whiterun and that's how the next quest works out.

This thread would be better off in Cheats, Hints, and Spoilers section.

No it wouldn't. I have this glitch too, hopefully they will fix it. If you google this there are lots of players with this.

is bethesda aware of this? they should include the fix in the upcoming patch, I googled it and seems like the only current get around is the use the console to activate the next quest meaning skipping this quest altogether, that sux.
