How do you report a cheater?
Do cheaters get perma ban once they are proven cheating? cos i think they should.

I was having good time with few people i met and some cheater joined the server and ruined the Crysis 2 for other 15 players.
It happened about 30 mins ago, most people left after second game. We couldn't kick him due to symbols on his name.
I typed it in notepad n copy/paste but still didn't work.

I think he used speed boost, 99999 bullet shotgun, radar, etc.

I got more screenshot of this cheating noob, and also took 1080p video using frap.

It svcks cos cheaters like him ruin the game for all, and good players often get blamed for cheating.

To kick this particular twit and other names like his:

* Enter console with tilde (`), type in votekick, then [space]
* Press [Tab] repeatedly until his name comes up.
* Use [Left Arrow] until the cursor is under the @ symbol, and replace "@" with "_".
* Use [Right Arrow] to the end of the name, and press [Enter]

* Press [F1] (and hope that others do too).

Hm yeah, I met him today as well. Didn't know about the replacement part though. Will try that next time.

Cool, didn't know u can use [tab] in console to bring up players name, i'll try that next time.
I wrote his name with both "@" and "_" in notepad, copy and pasted it in console but still didn't work.
Oh i just realized why... when i wrote his name in notepad i used "'" instead of "`".. lol

Guys, try clan servers. Since they are administered, cheaters are banned on sight.

Pretty much what CH4NCE said above. Use the Votekick Tab method, then use the right arrow on your keyboard to edit his name by changing the @ character to _ character then move the curser to the end of the name and then press enter.

He wont come into servers where he recognizes people who know how to kick him.

This is pretty much general for any username that uses that character. The server log will always display the (real name) in white text game rules.

I think copy and paste also works fine. Only reason i couldn't kick him was cos i used ' instead of ` when i typed his name in notepad.

I saw same pest again around 8 hours ago, many people remembered him thanks to his unique name.. and we had no problem getting rid of him cos i typed his name correctly on the notepad this time. fyi i also tried that votekick then tab but some reason it didnt work when he was there.

Anyway i just met another cheater called "kevinyao" also using the same cheat. Pests like him really ruin the game.. we were all pissed off and few people including myself started votekick against him, but we were 1-3 votes too short everytimes.

I really hate cheaters, they are the worst. Cheaters ruin the game and should be banned permanently.
I'm also starting to hate the noobs too, cos we wouldn't have so much problem kicking the cheaters if there were no noobs. (ffs learn to vote noobs)

At least permanently ban the known cheaters if you don't have the budget to fix the problem properly.

We kicked this pest once but he came back with different name "~agrIII~@RAIL~", unfortunately couldn't kick him again cos we couldn't get enough vote, ty to noobs.



Seriously this is soo fuked up cos there are soo many cheaters. and ~80% people don't know how to votekick them.
Noobs are also to blame cos they won't vote(just press F1 once, how hard is that?) even if you start votekick against a cheater, and type "press F1 to kick the cheater" in all chat repeatedly.

p.s. i've recorded this loser cheater using FRAPS.

And noobs, ffs learn to vote.. press "F1" when you see votekick against a cheater, you can never kick a cheater when there are noobs.

Why you playing on a server where you have 200 ping anyways? Jeeze jsust join an admined server. I've never seen one of those retarded name hackers in months.
