radeon 6970 or gtx 570?

Getting new PSU and GPU for christmas. Was gonna get the 580, but i dont wanna pile my dad with heaps of money xD

I have a be Quiet L7 530W ..
If you have a PSU from one of the well known brands it shouldn't be a problem.
I mean, the wattage isn't really telling you the real power.
It depends on the power on the 12V-rail.

OK. Decision Made... It will be ----[ GTX 570 ]---- if you have any reason as to WHY i shouldnt get this card or WHY i should get the 6970, please say before the 570 is bought!

I'm currently running the MSI gtx 570 and I'm pleased with it. Running mp at ultra dx9 with ~60fps (vsyn on). I think I snagged it for $280 from newegg when it was on a deal.
