Best level range to join Assassin guild

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 6:55 am

Hey,

I've been reading a lot of information about DB gear and how good it is. I've also read the gear does not scale with your level. I just started playing the game and i'm level 7, should i wait until lvl 20 or lvl 40+ to join the DB? Does it even matter that much if i join the guild now?

Thanks,

Level 50 or so should be fine.

Hey thanks for the reply. I hear the dagger is the best one around so maybe i'll wait until level 50. Is it possible the armor will be obsolete at level 50?

The armor won't be obsolete by level 50 although stat wise it will be lacking in comparasion to Glass Armor. In regards to what level you should join, I would do it asap. The gear doesn't scale, and you get access to a base, not to mention better equipment later on.

You do know that.... nevermind...

My 2 c: just do it whenever you want to. You can make daggers wich are more powerful (except for certain enhancements like the instakill razor one). Level 50 takes a long while to reach, especially if you don't abuse glitches. Even with consta-muffle and smithing daggers (wich i say are fairgame) it will take a while. Would be quite a drag to level to 50 (and the hours it will take in normal play) and then do the quests so you can have a killy dagger to kill stuff with, stuff that could also be killed using your own Daedric dagger wich you will be able to make and enhance at that level. Just do whatever you want and get the magical smithing perk. Then you can just level up the dagger using a grindstone if you get it now.

According to the UESP, none of the Dark Brotherhood items are leveled, feel free to join them anytime, you get some badass armor and a nice dagger for joining.

DB first, Thieves last. The latter scales, and the former does not. I have no idea why this should be the case.

The answers some of you provided indicated the dagger was given for "joining".
