Who cares about Alduin...

I wouldn't mind scrapping the whole MQ and just extend the civil war thing. And kicking Dominion ass would have been nice. Sorry, i just find the whole crumbling empire, the elves are taking over jazz far more interesting. Besides, after you kill the guy it's not like anything important is going to happen. The empire is still in trouble regardless.

It almost felt to me that they decided to go with the Thalmor as the main enemy, but then said [censored] it and did the dragon storyline, but leaving the work they did on the thalmor in.

Thoughts?

I'm not sure TES could do a non-civil war decently. It's a franchise that sticks to a province per installment. Not exactly going to invade Summerset Isles in an installment titled Skyrim.

I know that, but we could say "gtfo my lawn" and beat the thalmor up like that one gray mane quest where you invade a thalmor fort

I suspect that one of the DLC's will extend the civil war story line. We still haven't had a moot, and the role of the Thalmor in Skyrim has yet to be resolved.

When the mods come out we can probably expect some sort of decent invasion mod of sorts. (when the construction set comes out)

I myself have planned to try to make some story stand alone invasion mods for post Alduin.

Really I do love the mod community.
