PANTS!

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 5:14 pm

I miss the pants from Oblivion I liked to interchange apparel it made it feel like I could really make my character look like I wanted them to, and I think they should be put in a future patch or DLC. Also could tyou explain why you picked the answer you choose.

Yeah. I'd like the increased customisation of armor. I'd go as far to have the following:

Helm
Curiass
Greaves (L/R)
Boots (L/R)
Glove (L/R)

This would make you a bit overpowered with the enchanting skill though, so I can understand why they haven't brought it in.

Left and right greaves ? You sure you didn't mean pauldrons and that you intended to keep greaves in a different place ?

In any case it doesn't have to be overpowered with the enchanting skill. Anyone can choose to break his game with overpowered stuff and if it really has to be "balanced" for those people then it's quite possible to simply make enchants weaker.

I would prefer the return of morrowind style clothing and armour. One of my favorite things was (if I remember) the left side of the glass pauldrens had a large chunk of glass sticking off it that I liked to mix in with other armour sets.

i think they haven't brought it in because having a single 'clothing' or 'armor' item reduces the memory footprint.

...and they are not exactly great at managing memory over @ bugthesda.

I miss most about this is having a battlemage wear only a cuirass and some pants.

to extend the thought 1 ring also svcks donky balls. but yeah the title is dumbed down. next game we will just get a wheel selector to choose different load outs I'm sure...

Yes, and I miss the skirts and dresses that you can wear on top of your armor as well.

Losing the legging armor slot was bad enough, but too many of the armors in Skyrim don't have leg covering. For some, like the Savior's Hide, this makes what would be a sweet quest reward unusable.

Not really. The armor slots feel fine. The only thing that feels odd to me is that there is only one ring slot - two ring slots just feels "right" to me.

I actually don't really care for not being able to change my pants, because I believe the design decisions one can take without having to worry about clipping etc is more important. However, the best system would be something like Morrowind's where you could mix and match lots of stuff, but unfortunately I've got very little faith in ever getting that many slots back again...

I kinda liked looking at my character's abs without making them pretty much ready to streak at an arena match. Of course, it appears the lower body armor was merged with the upper body armor to make the armor easier to carry around. I still want Skyrim to know my Khajiit is too sixy for his shirt!
