I play on the 360 and just downloaded the latest update. After doing so my game locks up every single time I try and play it within the first 2 minutes. This might be the most frustrating thing I've ever dealt with playing video games. HOW IN THE WORLD DOES THIS HAPPEN!? And am I the only one experiencing this problem? Also, is there a way to go back to my old data (delete the latest update)? This is totally ridiculous!

Nobody? I usually don't bump my own threads this soon but I've invested hundreds of hours in my character and it looks to be shot. I cannot express how angry I am getting over this. I really hope there's a simple fix. Tested other games. They work. Its just New Vegas.

Delete the newest patch, see if things change. Otherwise you may need to start a new game, these things can happen to old files when a new patch is applied, though it is a rare occurance, it can still happen.

I think you have to reinstall the game for consoles? Meaning you'd go back to the very original version (as long as you don't go online or do whatever makes consoles update)

Its the strangest thing. And I HOPE its only on one save file. My last save was inside the NCR safe house. When I exit the safe house it locks up within the first 1-2 minutes every single time. I've tried it countless times now. Some of my older saves seem to be working but I haven't tested them extensively. I just don't understand why it would only affect one save. I'm going to try and load an earlier save, enter the safe house and then come out of it. We'll see what happens. I expect the same result and again, this is BEYOND frustrating, especially when no one else seems to have this issue. I'm all alone on this one I guess. Its like my XBOX is just saying, "screw you, you can't play Fallout anymore."

I know it's not the same bug (as the endless load screen/saves not loading), but maybe if you start a new game and then try to reload those older saves, it'd get around whatever it is? Just a shot in the dark...good luck, hope you get it working.
