This game is perfect.

Nothing is perfect, it is exceptionally good fun though.

How many RPG's (Excluding MMO's) give you over a hundred hours of gameplay? In my opinion it is the best fantasy RPG since Dragon Age: Origins. (Which was only sixty hours)

It's just an opinion. Just like yours is that it's not even close to perfect.

I don't find the game very hollow at all.. and as for bug filled, well sure, there are a few bugs.. but all of them (that I've experienced atleast) have been totally minor / not game changing in any way. Every game has bugs :).

IMO, this game is as close to perfect as you can get. :celebration:

I agree with this. There are a few bugs and with a game this size I can't imagine how one would Quality Test it all. However for the few minor bugs I have seen I can completely overlook them. Would I call the game perfect...no but I would call it the best game I have ever played. The sheer amount of content is just staggering. After 65 hrs of play I have only done one major quest line and a few random ones. I look at the list of quests I still have and know I haven't even gone to every city just astounds me.

That's my two cents.

Out of 91+ hours of playing, I've had two game freezes, which required a process kill and have run into two small bugs

- I had a dog I saved from wolves and the dog started to follow me. I entered a shop in Whiterun and lost the dog.
- I helped free an NPC from a cave, who was following me out but never exited the cave with me and is now stuck inside - journal did not update.

Otherwise, it's been smooth since release - outside of the resistance bug - but I never used resistance anyhow, so it never was an issue.

So yes, THANK-YOU for endless hours of entertainment, exploration and adventure!

The game is not perfect. There are bugs. However, the experience I am having has not been lessened by these bugs. The experience I am having is perfect. I agree with the OP. I have never enjoyed a game more. The game is brilliant. Game of the year without question, even with the bugs.

And yes, that is my opinion, which I am sharing with everyone reading this thread.

Is skyrim a great game? Yes. However pretending that its the "perfect" game is like painting a big "im a gullible dumb-ass" sign on your forehead. The game is a complete mess right now... there are literally hundreds upon hundreds of easilly identifiable bugs, some of the major quest lines are not completable because they are broken (including the main quest for some) and the game balance is so out of wack that half the perks in the game lead to triviallized content (even on Master) while the magic not scaling destroys the build (Destruction) for anything thats level 40 and above.

This game is FAR from perfect. Yes, most games have bugs, but most game also have a tiiiiiiny fraction of the amount (and magnitude) of what is present in skyrim. Any product-to-product comparison on that level would leave Skyrim looking like an unfinished and untested game with beautifull graphics.

EDIT:
still it keept me going for over 200 hours and counting so it's the best game i have played this year

I never got this comparison... since when is quantity = quality? If I throw you a big bucket of Kraft for 2$, will you tell me its the best restaurant meal of your life?

game is not perfect but it's a overall good game a few bugs, weigth problem from some persistent quest items (expecially the unusual stones and amulet of Talos), and IMO the lack of unique items either that be armour or wepons (not counting the Daedric artifacts tho most of does are copy pasted from previous TES titles) i recon the game will get alot better with DLC's and the patches to come

still it keept me going for over 200 hours and counting so it's the best game i have played this year

I think it shows that the issues that are there don't take away from the great experience people are having with the game. If it was a bad game they would just stop playing the game and people wouldn't be putting 200 hrs into the game in this short a period of time.

In what world do you live in... comfortable in your little bubble of la-la land?

Go read Xbox and PS3 forums: a LOT of people are seeing their game experience destroyed by bugs and other issues, not to mention the issues raised by tons of players in general discussion about the lack of balance (no challenge after a certain level even on Master).

Yes my bubble is quite nice. :) I personally have not encountered any game breaking bugs. Unfortunate for those that have and I can only comment on my own experiences.

Thank you Bethesda for making this everything I could have asked for.

I'm not usually into forums and could care less what strangers have to say about games but I made this account yesterday because I had to say this is the best game I have ever played and it is beautiful. In previous games my first character was always a nord and my favorite places to visit were Bruma and just about anywhere in solstheim and always wanted to see Skyrim. When I learned that Skyrim was coming out, I pooped em. I have spent nearly every free moment since the game came out playing and am in heaven.

There are plenty of us out here that don't prefer the pc, don't like mods, don't connect their console to the internet to get patches and don't want to finish the game in a week. With the the game itself and future official expansions, there is more than enough to keep true fans that take the time to appreciate the game occupied until your new masterpeice. You just don't see us because spoilers and seeing people talk about their superior uber characters that have all the achievements and are actually worried about what other people would think about their damage output or perfect game are actually kind of a downer for us freaks that like to totally immerse themselves and practically live the game. I honestly knew nothing about the game except for what the trailer and screenshots could show me and that's how I wanted it.

The spoilers are the worst. The links on the facebook adds can be amusing but I have to force myself not to look at them because it sort of takes away from my game. I can't explain it. And what the heck is up with the pc/console war? It's kind of silly because if you are happy with what you have, why do you need to talk down on what other people use? All this makes me want to take TES off of my likes on there but the thought of "unliking" Elder Scrolls breaks my heart. Not sure what to do there. xD

This isn't meant to rag on anyone else out there reading this either, everyone should enjoy the game no matter how they prefer to do it. Just wanted to make sure that even though they encourage changing the game by players, there are those of us out there that love the game for what it is and hope they never forget about us in future games. Good job guys and I only have one teesny request. Please pack all this awesomeness in another Fallout as soon as possible! Nothing wrong with the last ones but it's like crack and I can't get enough.

And now I am going to contradict myself by saying this: High five to everyone who loved Nords and Skyrim before this one even existed!

Yes. This game is the best. Thank you Bethesda! I hope you continue to give us Elder Scrolls int he future!

Just wanted to chime in: I'm also loving this game. Best game I've played in years, maybe the best of this entire generation of consoles.

Outstanding game.

Not reading or posting too much now, overall, because I am playing the game as spoiler-free as possible. But I love forums and this game so I can't help but at least look for positive topics or special interest topics to browse and post in.

While I agree no game is perfect, Skyrim included, it is an outstanding game. Really amazing. And I'm so glad I've been following through with a promise I made myself back towards the end of my Oblivion days: 100% fast-travel free. Haven't used it once, and I never will. Makes Skyrim feel like a massive territory, not a warp pad.

Anyway, good topic, thanks for adding some positive vibes to the forum.

itself falterson .
1 Generic herp derp singleplayer alduin is your generic I wan't powaaahhh!!!
2 Mushy combat that doesn't have much difficuty or varience or force varience you could spam fire spell all game if you want.
3 Lack of humour I know it's not the elder lols but most characters are generic quest giver with little humour/personality.
4 Meh ending with alduin in my opinion.

Skyrim has a lot of room for improvement, and is therefore not perfect. It is the second best game I played for the first time this year. Though with 2011s track record, that isn't saying much.

Almost perfect, except for the countless bugs and terrible gameplay and repetitiveness.

It's fanboyism like the author of this topic that blindly believe the game has no faults that means Beth don't always produce the Bible of modern gaming.
No denying they make wondrous epics that most people here enjoy but those who can't accept the game isn't perfect/has no faults need to check again.

Oh wow I kicked up some dust when I posted this and it looks like I didn't even get to read the worst of it. xD

Thanks to everyone that replied. I see lots of people agree with me and that's awesome! ^_^
To everyone else, especially any that seemed offended, this was obviously my own opinion and it is 100% perfect for me. As I already mentioned, I have never played a game without glitches or bugs and that was just always part of playing the game for me. So maybe when I say 100%, I am unfairly looking the other way when I see a floating rock, invisible horse, unlootable fox, or unstealable soul. (I have more than I can spend anyways) Yes, it is still perfect.

When I posted this, I had a nord at 38, An imperial at 21, and a khajiit at 19. Unfortunately my Khajiit Talasma is no longer with me due to some Jager and bad saving habits. >.>
So I have put some time into this but no I have not done everything there is to do yet (obviously) but I haven't run into any horrible glitches to make the game unplayable or even the slightest bit unenjoyable.

To people who think I was trashing modders/modding, I was just simply saying that us plain ol vanilla lovin, no patching, old schoolers are still out here so they never make a game so buggy, we can't play it. I already mentioned that it's great that everyone enjoys skyrim their own way, even if you have create new stuff to do it. As long as you're a skyrim fan, you are okay by me. If you aren't, well I'm not sure what you are doing here then but okay.

Everyones opinions were interesting whether they agreed or not. Judging from what I have seen, I wasn't expecting any kind of happy following but I do know a lot of people personally that absolutely love this game and wanted to give some positive feedback.

Skyrim is definately not perfect!
It still has alot of Bugs it has to fight off!
Apart from that, Bethesda nailed the setting and atmosphere!
