Is it that hard?

It just seems stupid that when you dual wield, your left-hand weapon just magically appears in your hand when you pull out your weapon. Is it really that hard to make another scabbard or put it on your back? You really have to make it appear in your hand? Seriously.

This really bothers me too. My character would look so much cooler with a sword on each hip.

It would be even cooler if we could equip a weapon to each slot but only actually use one of them. Back: Bow and Quiver, or two-handed weapon. Left Hip: One-handed. Right Hip: One handed.
Then you can choose which weapon you want to actively use, character would look so much cooler.

It's definitely possibly. For example,
