Do dragons go away?

without revealing any spoilers i would like to know if completing the main quest makes all the random and word wall dragons disappear? I want to start doing more of the main quest but my character is a dragon hunter so i dont want to put him out of business :)

ok thanks thats a relief..i've slain about 20 so far and hope to slay many more. I wish u can keep their heads for trophies or at least a tooth from each. I mean you can take a giants toe but not a dragons claw (talon)??

The Tytanis mod on SkyrimNexus includes Dragon skulls, but I haven't installed it yet so I don't know how they are acquired.

I'm sure it won't be long after the CK is released that there will be a mod enabling you to increase or reduce the number of dragons. Or get rid of them altogether.

They don't go away, but for me they seem to have diminished in the amount of random attacks. But maybe that's just me. *shrugs*
