I've played Skyrim mostly as a dual wielding warrior layered in heavy armour, most of the damage I take is when I'm surrounded.
Or.. hit by a bad ass explosion.. I wouldn't even call it a fireball. RIP random guy I found dead between two angry mages fighting each other.
It would have been a good option (since I cant block) to wear a shield on my back and take 50% or so less damage when attacked from behind.
With such a perk I would have been happier wearing light armour. Plus my character would look more equipped for battle.
Where the hell he keeps that second blade I don't have a clue.

Anyone have any similar ideas or perks they would like to see in the game?

Shield should be on your back regardless.

You mean while in battle right?
It would make for sense as a perk, since knowing how to block a blow with a back shield would take a little experience.
For example you would still need to shrug the attack off at the point of impact, perhaps a shield could be equipped on your back, though useless until you have the perk to reduce damage from behind while a shield is equipped.
Knowing when to shrug the attack off would take a lot of skill so it would be more understandable not to make it available early on.

It would look really kick ass on a two handed warriors back too.
