What is that statue in the thieves guild? : V

In Theives Guild. Its a blank faced statue of a head behind guild masters desk. What is that for? Looks like its for a mask or helmet. Its by all the collectables. But I collected all of them. I thought maybe to hold the grey fox's cowl. I haven't finished main quest but I did finish the theives guild.
I don't mind a spoiler if the anwser is one.
Anyone know, what is that statue for?
