What soul gem required to enchant bow?

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 12:51 am

I'm trying to enchant a forsworn bow (fine) with the fire enchantment. When I activate an enchanter it sees the bow and enchantment, but won't accept any of my soul gems which were: 1 grand, 2 common, 2 lesser and 1 petty. Granted some are stolen, though I thought that didn't matter with the enchanter.

Silly question, but the gems ARE filled, aren't they?

Either the gems are not actually filled with souls (Example: "Common Soul Gem" as opposed to "Common Soul Gem (Common)") or you are encountering a bug.

I got it to work. Apparently, I wasn't selecting the items/functions in the right order. This was my first enchantment. :)

I had that problem too when I first tried. It doesn't matter what order you select them in, but when you select the "enchantment" you then have to select the magnitude (like 5pts fire damage, 6pts, 7pts, etc...) of the "enchantment" then it you can select the other (item or soul gem if you haven't already)
