container city

Anybody else getting spwaned camp as security all the time on container city? Once you make it past the first objective it's a great map, but getting past that first one is nearly impossible.

Security's light soldier should beat their lights. If he doesn't, then you better have someone good at the side door window.

Yea ive been trapped an also have spawn trapped the team, let me tell you basically impossible to get out once the defenders get into place. All they need is a 2 medics and 2 engineers and a solider and the attackers are screwed. Engineers just set up turrets while the medics heal whoever is down and soldiers give ammo. The defender have so many vantage points, while the attackers just run blindly into fire once you hit the steps.

No.

Is it easy to catch a few bad spawn waves? Yes. Once you realize you've caught some bad waves and they're on top of your spawn is it easy to push them back? Yes. Regroup and use everyone's abilities to push the team out.

Wait until there are maybe two medics and two soldiers attacking at the gate, then use an operative to get around either through the side door or over at the right. Disguise, then hack a turret. It'll cause mayhem for a few seconds and they'll all focus on killing the turret, giving the offense a chance to get through.

But yes, it's a great map even though that first objective is notoriously difficult.

Flashbangs are your friend. I've gotten out of that spawn camp with flashbangs so many times it's ridiculous. Flashbang, everyone goes blind, you run in and blast them while they can't see, shift your front line forward and dig in. Repeat as necessary.

While I have been spawn trapped several times, I have always been able to push past that first objective at some point in the game. Granted, I may have lost some (not all) of them later on, but that just means there is balance.

Use the Bot as Cover.... Rush with the Lights on the Far Side and Heavy up the Middle. Medics buff and put the Adrenaline on the Heavies for the extra damage tolerance. This is one of many ways to get around the camp. ALSO, if you eliminate everyone, they have THAT MUCH longer to run and wait to get back to you as you continue the mission.

I usually play 5v5 which is competition mode. Out of all the times ive seen people get spawn traqed on cotainer city ive havent once seen anybody break it. Their will be 2 or 3 ppl guarding the stairs so once you look up ur getting shot, and if you happen to make it up the stairs you have 2 or 3 people shooting at you plus the turrets. Now playing with bots itll be easy to get out since bots are dumb and don't know what spawn trapping is. But play against nothing but human players and its impossible to break out of it.

Flashbang is not something soldiers should skip over.

is it easy to push them back? No. is it possible to push them back? yes

lets face it, its not easy, the defenders have all the tactical advantage, higher ground, increased visibility, more hiding spots. it is possible however, but takes some coordination and some skill.

This is one of those where if you're not fast enough then it's very difficult. Your first push will decide who wins at the first objective. Having a good player up by the hackable door (there is a window that's great for covering attackers) helps a lot, and you also need a ton of flashbangs and medics. If you dont have flashbangs just take the standard soldier kit and not only can you help complete the primary but you can use Molotovs to the same effect as flashes to clear people out of the one hole they can get through from.

Container city isnt the only map which you cant be spawned trapped, but the most recognized map for sure. The defender have a quick and easy route to the objective in every map, which by the time attackers get there they are shot down within seconds becuase defenders have vantage points which usually look over the objective.

I was in what was supposed to be a 5v5 match on Container City. Turned out to be a (I think) 3v2 match and I was playing as Security and the '2'.
Resistance was already in place when I dropped in and it was really bad. However, I did make it beyond the steps and started covering the other player from my team. Up against those odds I think we did quite well and, had our third player been playing, I think we might have broken their defences.

I love this map. I keep it set as my most preferred map in Freeplay.

I always play as security on Container City, which translate to me really wish you could change teams faster when you join a game.

I've had some epic battle on this map. I think I'll upload some gameplay to youtube later today.

i've never been spawn trapped there, but i've seen a number of them. I'm usually playing op and causing enough mayhem behind enemy lines that they can't set up a solid defense except for at the intel grab. you'd also be surprised about how easy it is to mess op the offense by lobbing a steady volley of grenades over those make shift battlements across from the spawn. the great thing about this game is the fact that nothing is so OP that you can't counter it with a little aggressive finesse. sort your team out unless you are the only non-AI on the team, then well you'll just have to bite several bullets until they fix that nonsense.

who the heck hasnt??? i have trapped so many teams like this you cant imagine, that little bridge over the gate that only opens up to the opposing teams spawn area + barnett single headshot kill is freakin just calling for me to pown them... once spawn trap is initated with people that at least have 3 brain cells you lose.

never seen anyone yet break this, and i have played alot (6 level 20s)

people make these absurd stratigies to it, good luck human players dont stick together and they dont give a damn if you die, they wont buff you or make stratagies and the bots are just too dumb so your F'D

i mean you get trapped like this and your whole team is FUBAR. not to mention all maps are one sided for resistance and its super annoying (minus sec tower?)

I got spawn trapped once and found a way out. I got adrenaline boosted, wall hoped over the side door that wasn't hacked open, and caught the enemy in the back. I left them down so the medics would come to help and killed them. I fixed that problem and we won. Also, getting the robot out before you blow the gate helps since it is like mobile cover....

I play as both side, if I am security I always get the door blown, if I am rebel then I always stop them at the gate. The trick is to get that bomb on right away and hope everyone guards the hell out of it. If they can get through the gate and slow the rebels down then you will most likely get the gate to blow, There is a worse choke point when the bot goes under the first bridge right next to the spawn point for the rebels. two turrets and a few soldiers and your not getting near the bot again
