Quick Questions/ Quick Answers

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 1:06 pm

Noticed there are a few threads popping up for quick questions that people need answering. On a few other forums I am a member of there is usually a thread dedicated to quick questions people have, so that the rest of the board can have actual discussions on them. It also acts as a good reference point for people with questions, so that the same ones don't pop up over and over again.

Didn't notice one, so thought I would start one. If it takes off then great, if not, then it can go to where threads go to die!

So mine is that i have the amulet of Mara equipped but no option on NPCs for marriage.....what do I need to do?

Often it has to be bought from a priest. And many NPCs require you to do a quest/favor for them. Then some will be open for a potential marriage.

Or if you already have one, you still need to speak to the priest in Riften, I can't remember his name, before you can find a spouse.

Now my turn: Is there a way to see how many charges your magic weapon has left? Or if it has used all of its charges?

You have to go talk to Maramal, the priest of Mara in Riften. He usually shows up at the Bee and Barb Inn the first time, and then moves over to the temple after you speak to him. You won't get any marriage dialogue until you talk to him about the process.

thanks guys,

Yes when you take out your weapon there is a white bar in the bottom right hand side of the screen (as long as you have HUD on), above your health stamina etc

When you use it a little bar gauge should show up above your stamina bar showing how much charge is left. Also, if you mouse over the weapon in your inventory, the weapon info will also show the charge bar. I'm not sure if it tells you exactly how many uses are left, but I think it might show you how much charge a single swing will use by showing the last bit of the bar in a darker blue - that's the charge that will be lost on the next swing.

on PC with vanilla key-bindings: i can zoom and rotate on loading screens by clicking and dragging, but cannot rotate items in the inventory. i can zoom with "c" but no amount of clicking or dragging causes the item to rotate. any thoughts?

Mouse over the item you want and move your cursor horizontally so you don't select highlight anything else onto the image of the item. Then left click and hold and move your mouse around. At least that's how I do it.
