Playing with 1.5, a review of what I've experienced so far.

So for almost a year, I've been playing the base game prior to patching, after getting PSN, I've downloaded the latest patch, and I feel it's done mostly well.

For starters, I enjoy a great deal of preformance optimization. Granted, I never had issues as badly as others did, I have yet to lag in Freeside at the 4-way intersection, I've yet to lag at Forlorn Hope, and McCarran load times are MUCH more quicker. Secondly, I've seen a myriad of quests and side quests being able to be completed. I've also noticed explosives (mainly due to enemy fire) to be much more deadlier, with me getting crippled 5x more than ever before.

On to the gripes, I was in a grump I had to uninstall and reinstall New Vegas to get rid of the patch and wait until AFTER I dealt with Benny to reinstall the patch, for me personally, I had a quest break mildly where Swank won't remove the two sets of items you are supposed to show him. Secondly, the increase in weapon mod prices can be ridiculously high. I know it helps to keep the economy stable, but spending 1-3k on a single weapon mod is ludicrous.

I may have more to add to both camps when I complete this character, but as of now, I'd say the patch is definitely a hit/miss. Alot of Good, but some noticable bad.

The patch helped a lot with performance on the Xbox too, but I still can't shop at Mick and Ralph's.

Really? I can shop at Mick and Ralphs just fine.

What happens when you try to shop there?

It happens once someone runs up to you and gives you a discount at the store.

I say "Let me see what you have for sale".
Then Mick/Ralph says "Take a Look".
The conversation then closes without opening the shop interface.

I had issues with Westside slowing down then freezing, but I haven't tried it after the latest patch.

I'm very tempted to patch up to v1.6 (PS3) but the above and the "weapon not returned to companions when leaving Gomorrah" problems
have made me dubious. Is Swank not having at all the dialog lines related to evidence of Benny actions or does he have those lines
but the items are simply not being removed from the Courier's inventory? In the first case, it would indeed be a major game breaking situation
while the latter would just be mildly annoying but still manageable one.
I'd appreciate if you could clarify that a bit...
Cheers!

Well that explains why Cass was missing all the guns i gave her, including the All-American. Of course i play on PC so that was easily fixed.
