Game unplayable on Xbox 360

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 11:39 pm

The game freezes frequently during action sequences with multiple enemies and explosions. Frame rate stutters, and bugs with companions disappearing and stuff. Game unplayable, pretty much, on Xbox. What can I do?

I play on Xbox and have never had any of these problems.

Clear some of your memory on your HD, delete old save games.

Is your xbox one of the older ones? Apparently they can have more issues than newer ones. Mine with NV has had so little bugs I could count on one hand.

Don't save it on 2 or more game slots.
Check your memory.

There is only one save slot, and an auto save. It's an older Xbox 360, but New Vegas is the only game it seems to have had difficulty running. Should I buy it on PC? ATi Radeon 4250? GPU.

If it passes the requirements, I know I would.

Edit:
This is what steam says the requirements are.
System Requirements
OS: Windows 7/Vista/XP
Processor: Dual Core 2.0GHz
Memory: 2GB RAM
Hard Disk Space: 10GB free space
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6 series, ATI 1300XT series

You should get every Bethesda game for the PC, experience will be much better than the crappy xbox. That's what I did.

You can install it on your harddrive (Never had problems ever since I did that. Freezes fairly rarely though), and clear your Xbox Cache (You have to re download all updates for your games) by following this: Clear the Cache on the Xbox 360

To clear the cache on the Xbox 360 do the following:

Go to the Xbox Dashboard, select the System Blade, and select Memory.
Highlight the HD symbol and press Y.
Press X, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, X.

You will see a confirmation message to confirm system maintenance, proceed.

Sadly, some of us (me) can't get it on the pc. I'm not going to get a new video player just to play fallout new vegas.

You think that is bad? How about all of your saves becoming corrupted and having to completely start over. All of my saves had at least 50-100 hours on them and it pissed me off to no ends having to start over. To top it off my saves are still becoming corrupted. I never had this problem before patch(could be the problem or not).

Okay, but can my PC run it? Some say it can, but others say it can't. Everything okay, but not GPU. ATi Radeon 4250 running it?

Brad, as much as i suggest purchasing it for the PC you have to ask yourself a few questions:

1. Is image quality important to me? Becuase frankly it sounds like your hardware is very out of date, you will have to play on lower settings to sustain a good framerate.
2. Is it in my finances to purchase/build a new computer? PC gaming has so many advantages over the console i won't derail the thread with the antics, but you will find that the PC version of games (with a good system) allows you generally to play with mods/custom settings, higher framerates, and better image quality.
