Lore Question

Post » Tue Oct 27, 2009 5:50 am

Apologies if there is a thread for this already, but I am curious to read up on some lore for the Fallout universe and I was wondering if there has been any extensive and official lore written for countries outside the US, China and USSR.

If so, where may I find said Lore?

Thanks.

The most commonly cited bastion of Lore is the Vault:

Ausir does a great job keeping it clean and relevant.

The USSR I can answer quickly and Easily. The only major canon reference to the USSR is in Fallout 1 on the character select screen, where Natalya's character is revealed to be a child of a former Consular staff member, suggesting that US-USSR relations were warmer than in the real cold war.

Thank you sir, I was mainly after some information on perhaps Australia or England before I begin to write a little concept of my own for fun ^_^. I'll have a look through that site anyways.

Europe got incinerated, the USSR suffered because it either sided with the U.S. against China or didn't acquiesce to the Chinese if they tried to annex it like the U.S. did with Canada in the Resource Wars.

Incinerate or not, America was incinerated and they still had bunkers and vaults to protect people.

Also, I do not believe that China would be so stupid as to try and take over Russia. Napoleon and Hitler both failed their own massive attempts to do such a thing, I doubt the Chinese would be so stupid they tend to pick up history books.
A land war in Russia never goes down well for the invaders.

Not if you have a half-billion man army of cannon fodder like the FO Chinese seemed to have created to counter U.S. technosuperiority.

They would not win, I promise you that. They simply will not win. A land war in Russia has consistently failed many times in history. Its not the fact that you have so many troops, its the fact that no one on earth is more equipped for the Russian Winter than the Slavic people or maybe Eskimos..

They will fight you to the death and they are tougher people than the Chinese.
Again everyone seems to have this misconception that wasting an enormous amount of resources and man power for a meager victory is intelligent or either an option when China is at war with America.
