What happened to dumner voices, different bodies and radiant

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 8:19 am

Main argument:

Why do dumner not have their morrowind voices? The ones that were given to them by azura when they became cursed elves? The ones that sounded great in morrowind and had it's absence criticised in oblivion? (was in the game "redgard" too) Would have made a better voice set than the out of place british theives guild members (come to think of it- why arent the game's orphans cockney- are we all bad people?!?!?!)

Werent we promised different body sizes too? Instead we have a slider that goes between decently sized women and smaller women with only a slight change of shape and we also have athletic men who increase in size to become bodybuilder men. Where are the fat people? Where are the starved ones?

and the radiant ai- have you actualy noticed this? It doesn't seem to have improved from oblivion.

smaller things

- why are hagravens clothed? Dont you think they'd be more scary.. nvde? (and deformed all the same.. plus their age makes some pretty horrendous monstrosity) Daggerfall had naked witches.. mcbeth had naked witches (and they were darn weird!! )
- i could swear that when i watched a pre release video for the sounds of skyrim (the guy was talking about droping keys) the guy showed us a realy, realy cool dwemer centurion (sphere as skyrim decided to name them). It was animated excelently and i was very impressed, it was bronze in colour although rather small on the screen. However in skyrim all dwemer automatons look absolutely horrid (why were they given faces? WHY!?!?!)
- why were dremora not given a few more options? It wouldn't have been hard to put some cones on their faces and called them spikes now would it? (no glowing tattoos either)

its called......something..um...Padding? fluff? making it look like it has something that it doesn't.

as for Rai lets just stop thinking its AI and recognize it for is non Marketing version. a Bunch of Scripts in sequence that run and cannot be effected outside the use of the CS. no NPC "thinks" or "chooses" they are all run by Scripts.

The Dunmer of Vvardenfell didn't have dry, hoarse voices from Azura's curse so far as I know. It's simply that they had been breathing in Red Mountain's ash (as well as ash storms) for too long. I can imagine Dunmer not exposed to such a climate would not have the voice their Morrowind brothers did.

oblivion AI was better, they would actually go out and find food to eat. never cared about dunmer voices. was hoping for different bodies but they are all the same. the dremora svck, they are dark elves just blacker. and naked hogravens? you are a sick sick man, that would be too horrid to fight

Why the hell would you want to create an ultra skinny or fat person? Aside from being utterly silly?

Weren't the ORSIMER the actual cursed elves?

Dwemer spheres have always had faces. Hell, look at them in Morrowind (also, it was bronze because it wasn't textured yet, you could still see the polygons)

ESRB wasn't as strict back in the Daggerfall days as it is now, that's why nudity isn't in

I like the current voice, as it's the same actor who voiced Enclave soldiers in Fallout 3 :)

Yeah, this is what I thought...but why the hell pick an Australlian accent of all things? They hire the guy who voiced Joshua Graham, and make him do a [censored] Aussie accent? Really?

So now Dunmer sound like actual people, while keeping the whole sore throat thing and people are complaining...

How unsurprising, don't change anything Beth, what we had before is always infinitely better...

There are no Aussie accents in Skyrim.

I like the new Dunmer accents over anything we've had before.

Morrowind's voice acting was minimal.
