Ore Veins

Has anyone else seen the small details they put into some of the ore veins specifically Iron? They sometimes show oxidation, little red streaks, and that just blew me away. If only the quicksilver veins were partially red like the real life Cinnabar ore, there is a bit of red in the ore you get in your inventory but honestly I was expecting the distinct bright red color for the quicksilver. I don't suspect they had a mineralogist on staff to check these things out but the fact that they thought about iron oxidizing is nice. Their geology isn't perfect but I was happy that they did their best to create a world that is believable.
Does anyone else just find the geology of Skyrim breathtaking?

Tl;dr Iron ore shows oxidation A+ Bethesda

It's not an aspect of the game I think is deep enough to really take advantage of. But that's still pretty cool.

Yea I would have to agree that the concept itself lacks depth but I found it awesome that somewhere down the road to Skyrim someone was creating the models for the ore veins and thought "You know what this iron ore needs? Rust."
