Hi,
When words appear one the edges of the screen the words are cut off. I tried to adjust my screen i.e. wide, zoom. Any suggestions how to correct the problem.

What words? Subtitles? Menu text?

Text when your playing the game. I.E. In the upper left portion it will say "Obtained Wheat" The "obt" are cut off. It is as if the screen is not big enough but I have a 50 inch?

well i have a SD tv and i have that problem but i also have a problem reading the text from books and notes because the words are small and bunched up together

I have the same exact problem but it seems like the screen is zoom because I can't see half of the compass and I can't see any texts in the top left corner that tell you when you pick anything up. I have a SD TV also but on my uncles widescreen HDTV everything on the left side including menu texts and even the health bar are cut off.

I have the same problem as well. Tried on my SD, a little bit was cut off; HD, a good bit was cut off.

I opened a thread about bad Xbox 360/TV resolutions in the support forums.. So it does actually look like I'm not the only console user with this problem. I find it sorta insulting when I look at ingame videos from the PC and them having their entire screen show perfectly and all the font is perfect size and everything but on the Xbox all the font is squished and missing.

I even tried setting the display setting on my Xbox from Normal to Widescreen, and it squished the entire screen in game and out - but it did allow me to read the full "Bethesda" name in the Skyrim main menu, and it also allowed me to see the entire compass.. But the words were still smushed and even more squished.
