So earlier in the game when going to the shouts command menu
I'd press A an it would give me a notice that I need dragon souls etc.

Which I had... so I wrote it off like oh I guess I need to speak to a specific NPC or activate a unique device that is apart of "the main story" that I've been avoiding
so like... 70 Hours in an I just noticed I can press X to unlock new shouts on the fly

P.S. Not so much of derp but there is a default 3rd person view by momentarily clicking in & releasing the view button i.e. R Stick

Too often when RPing do I run off a cliff while escaping a dragon because I try to do that cool "Stop suddenly at the edge of the cliff, turn around and FUS ROH DAH"

~30 hours into the game i realized i could sprint. it's a whole new world.
