True. Although I think it's great for PC gaming. Who knows... maybe it might encourage some indie developers to try their hand at a PC exclusive open-world RPG.

I think that's REALLY hard to make something like TES.

The writing on that is ridiculously big... (Lore included)
Also require A LOT of programming. I mean A LOT!

Imagine: 1 NPC, with 3 dialogue options. Each option opens more 3. That's 12 options. And this NPC has a daily routine.
Not only that, but this NPC has lines of codes triggered by unique items... Or quests.

The amount of voice-acting/writing/programming is big... for one NPC.

Now imagine this, with the amount of NPCs in Skyrim.

People say that Bethesda svck at testing... But this isn't exactly a easy game to test...
I've never encountered a big bug in this game, and I'm over 100 hours in.
I've only encountered 5-7 minor bugs... Included those fixed by the latest patch.

Give me the funding and a team, and I'd love to give it a go! ;-D

Alas, why didn't my school have such practical classes? No, they decided to force Sociology down my throat :-(

The biggest thing in TES is the lore. If you really want to imagine depth in NPC dialogue, Bioware is who you should be looking at these days. In Skyrim, I don't know if I've seen a single NPC give me 3 options, little on 12. In fact, the most dialogue choices I've seen is from followers... and I don't believe those count, since they are mostly command option that should be in a menu to begin with.

Think of it this way. It is a huge amount of playtime for a single player game. How many other single player games have you seen substantial people putting in 200+ hours on? It's starting to bump up against MMO's.

Thanks! So, are you going to be the first to subscribe? I would suggest buying a lifetime membership. It includes full VIP access until you AND your pet hamster dies. I am currently offering a limited-time special. It will only cost you... *Puts his pinky at the corner of his mouth*... one MILLION dollars! *Evil Laugh*

I've put over 100 hours into Tales of Symphonia for the Nintendo Gamecube. Another 100+ into Tales of Vesperia. I've put 150+ into Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball. I've put 50 or so into the original Banjo Kazooie. Yes, I do need a life :-P

yes its still in top 5 but it is dealing with fps such as mw3 and bf3 and since both their ad budgets and online playabilty they have the edge on consoles we r sorta limited on good online gaming so that 1 of the reason for their sales figures

Yup. Of the 30 or so people on my steam list, at any given time about 5-15 are online, and at least half of them are playing Skyrim.

It's epic. :D
