Side quest to related to main quest?

I've notices that most of the quest in fnv always go back to relating to the main quest when in fallout 3 you had quest like you gotta shoot em in the head and the replicated man and in new Vegas mostly all side quest have to do with making a faction like u for the main quest. This makes me like fallout 3 more quest wise. I wann here more opinions on this

It's two different games.
Like comparing apples to pears, carrots to cucumbers, pink with blue.
Cheers :)

It makes for a more focused game with more logical divergence from the main objectives. Plus, even though many quests are for certain factions, I don't think the majority are directly related to the main plot and are like internal affairs stuff. I'd bet that the amount of quests in New Vegas that have absolutely nothing to do with the main story itself actually exceed the amount of quests in Fallout 3 anyway. Or maybe you have an issue with not being able to do absolutely everything in one playthrough? If that's the case, then I agree with Omero.
