Tomahawks

I am really getting into Tomahawks. With the cowboy and ninja perk, a stealth attack with this weapon while poisoned is absolutely devastating. I like to use bleak venom on it for tougher foes. For me it is the ultimate close-mid range stealth weapon.

The wiki says "Gun Runners and other vendors" will sell these after Honest Hearts, but I only see them sold at Gun Runners---usually between 5-8 at a time. Does anyone know any other vendors that sell them?

It's just a really fun weapon to use for my character who is literally living off the land, which fits that persona.

I just use them for fun.

5 or so tomahawks sticking out of Cass' head makes me lol every time.

Just remember: across the map tomahawks may be fun in COD, but in this game, it's mile-long tomahawks that take the gold. Try killing a bighorner with a sneak attack crit from over 500 yards away with one.

i'm wondering, is there a way to add Thrown Weapon Recovery to the game. Like if your Spear or Tomahawk hits a wall or the ground, be able to pick them back up. and also finding the weapons on the corpses of your fallen foes (as a chance, like in oblivion with arrows)

EDIT: Nm, answered my own question :P http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35101

I never knew they just fly forever in a straight line, that's awesome.

That's interesting how that thing will go that far. I have started a new char in FO3, as I wait for LR. Before I shelved FNV, I was playing around with poisons and throwing weapons. Yes, a thrown weapon that has BV applied, is deadly. I will definitely be trying the long shot with those, upon my return to the game.
