Better Graphics or No loading screens for TES6 ?

The poll, even though it is pretty close, seems to indicate that people prefer eye candy over gameplay improvement. :sadvaultboy:

I wouldn't call no loading screens a game play improvement.. but the current level of graphics in TES is laughable (un modded that is)

For console players, loading takes from 10 to 15 seconds, so yes, I would consider no loading screens as a gameplay improvement. And seriously? Laughable graphics? Where do you come from?

The graphics in technical terms hasn't been improved. Aesthetics has been but they are still using the same level of technology they did in Oblivion.

No loading screens is probably impossible with the engine that Bethesda uses.. not only that but to have no loading screens would tax even the most powerful PC's let alone a console. Think of the thousands of items that are placed in the world of a TES game. Everything from NPC's to weapons even the food on tables would turn the game into a slideshow.

Not to sound big headed here, but on my PC the loading screens are pretty much instant, perhaps the next gen consoles will also have fast loading screens in the next TES game.

@Orc Beth has already confirmed their next title from BGS will be on next gen console. Wheter or not that includes Fallout 4 and TES 6 or just TES 6 is unknown FO series likes to jump around developers.

I would like a game that actually takes advantage of modern day PC's. Then we can have both, and a map atleast twice the size of skyrim.

It's not a problem with a good streaming engine.

... And depends how much RAM the platforms have 8GB is what Crytek has asked for which will ensure it to be a 64 bit platform whether or not that will be in the platform is unknown I doubt it will be lower then 4GB though.

I really hope so, considering how cheap a 4GB RAM stick costs (average around £20 from what i can see) anything less would be cheap. (im looking at you M$).

Better Graphics. Loading screens have never really bothered me in any game i've played. Loading screens also allow me to take a sip of my drink without pausing the game lol. B)

Better Graphics- I do not, by any means, run Skyrim on a high end pc, yet still the longest loading screen (initially loading into the game) takes only a few seconds.

We're talking about consoles, which take about 15 seconds to load.

I guess in the open world, it's not that bad, since there is not that much things to open, but at least make the shops in the cities open without loading screens...

The loading screens don't bother me. I am actually impressed by how brief they are.

I'd rather get back the content we lost over the last couple of games. I can already improve the graphics of my games and I hardly ever notice load screens they go by so quickly. What they really need is a more powerful console to play these things on. The current generation is really holding the developers back.

Sure they can find ways to compress the tons of stuff the game uses but the textures are really poor quality and the technology being used went out with my last video card.
They added some nice stuff to the game this time around but at the cost of things that worked well in their last game. The idea that each game is new and different is all good, but why throw away stuff that worked well and people liked in the name of different?

Unfortunately, for the consoles, it takes about 10-15 seconds, so it's pretty annoying, especially when you just exit a shop and then you remember that you forgot something.

Another (minor for some, major for others) reason to get this on PC.

I've played all the TES games on PC. My load screens are a second, if that, missing whatever hints is on them. I do get to see a hint on the initial load up of the game though. ;)

Since the next generation should handle skyrim with ease I say keep the skyrim graphics and improve the load times, the world, and add in more weapons, skills, and etc.

Even if the next TES is on a new generation of consoles (which is pretty much certain) I wouldn't mind one bit if the graphics remained about the same. I would however like the game to run at a constant silky smooth frame rate. Nothing worse to me than a gorgeous game that just barely chugs along. It puts an awful strain on my eyes and makes me cringe.

And don't tell me to buy it for PC. I can't afford a high end gaming computer AND the latest and greatest console. I will be lucky if I even have the money lying around for whatever microsoft or sony releases next.

Better performance.

The faster the game runs the better.
I could not care less about graphics. There is enough old school in me for that.

How about the same graphics, but more detail? So like more AI options, more things effected by physics, more characters on screen.

Much more important then better textures IMHO.
