Really? no footprints?

I find it fascinating that you build a game that is all about immersion, set in a snow world, and yet you leave no footprints or impressions of any kind in the snow.

Lame.

Is it really that big deal? Plus, In 1st person you're a floating camera, can't even see your legs, no point for a a feature like that. Doesn't really add anything into the game. Sorry

A FLOATING CAMERA ISN'T REALISTIC ENOUGH.

Sad, because in Fallout 3 they managed to implement toilets everywhere. That was immersive, imho.

Frosty breath? Cool idea for a mod...

It's small details but I've always liked the footprints and cold breath. Even the not-so-detailed games (can't think of any right now) have footprints and breath.

It would add a lot to the game, it would help tracking animals and people, you could see where you've been and re=trace ur steps ect. It's little things that make big differences.

It seems like a little thing, but out of my entire play experience so far, its noticable enough and irritating enough to have made a post about it, so I guess I notice it a lot.

Half-assed game was half-assed.

I wonder how many let-downs it takes for people to realize this.

I only recently played Oblivion because someone gave me a 360 and my PC stopped at Morrowind. But in Oblivion I noticed straight away no snow prints or wet look after coming out of water. Snow prints I saw in PS2 Champions of Norrath and dripping wet in the PS2 Tomb Raider Legend, but with such a complex game as Skyrim or Oblivion, that would be asking for too much.

I've seen some toilets in Skyrim hideouts, it would be funny if like the sit option there was squat, and your companion would complain about their eyes burning.

Odd....I get foot prints when I am walking in the snow...

Its impossible to tell though because it only happens when there is a massive blizzard and any footprints are instantly filled and covered leaving no trace that I was just there.

The real problem with FPS view is that the camera is located in your chest, and not your head (at least in my characters case). The low elevation of the camera irritates me also, so I always play 3rd person.
