Longer shouts : V

I noticed one of the tips in the loading screen said that SHOUTS would be more powerful if more of the words were spoken.

hello? wut?

How do you learn or speak more words for any given shout? I thought Z just spoke it all? Do the shouts level up or something?

The Greybeards tell you all about it. If you've even learned one shout, you would have been given a quest to speak with them.

Xalxitz told you how to learn them - how to speak them is to just hold the button down longer.

Do people really not know this? You have to hold down the shout button. Just tapping it does one word, holding it a little longer does two, and holding it down for the full time does all three.

okay..sorry. I was told to visit the Greybeards but I'm a procrastinator and didn't do it yet. I've got a couple shouts but wanted to explore and level up a bit. Tired of all the linear play that games BESIDES skyrim have.
